January transfers
According to rumours, three players will be bought in January.

Who?

I'm putting a fiver on Wilshere

If he plays like he did last night and keeps fit then that would be a very solid purchase.

If he plays like last night they wont sell him.

Or if we do buy him he'll get crocked again.

No

Far too injury prone.

and to be honest, overhyped as well. Let's face it. if he were that good, then someone better than Bournemouth would have taken him on loan.

To be fair to you, Scorchio, you were among the masses on here writing him off.

Ha ha!

Looked great last night and coming into the last six months of his contract. No brainer for me.

Re: January transfers
He's one of the best talents we've had in the last 10 years just that injuries have fucked him. I can't see the logic in why the Goons would farm him out to us though?

Could easily give Lanzini a fight for his spot, or even alongside him in some games.

What are the odds on Fellaini joining?

Re: January transfers
Judging by that statement by the board the other week about being back on good terms with Sporting Lisbon again I would say the signing of Carvalho is likely probably on an expensive loan of around 4 million for the rest of the season and then having to make it permanent with A further 20-25 million if we stay up.

Carvalho, another pacy winger and a right sided defender would be where we need to strengthen.

Re: January transfers
Given that Mourinho is always raving about him yet he's turned down a new contract from the Mancs, despite already having a salary of ONE HUNDRED AND TWENTY THOUSAND POUNDS PER WEEK (I had to put that in uppercase; it's just so unbelievable that this carthorse could 'earn' that), I think it's safe to say Fellaini wants to leave Manchester on a free in the summer for a big pay day...

So the odds on him joining club with pots of money to spend are quite good. West Ham ? Not so much...

Fair play! I'll hold my hands up to that. However, he was much, much better than I expected last night.

But I don't think he can stay injury free for very long.

Re: January transfers
Typically we do our business late Jan...that would be utterly stupid this time. Sullivan likes to see how the market develops before buying.

We need those new players in week 1 of January

Re: January transfers
I don't really see the value in signing Ings, as physically he's not much different to Hernandez. We need a strong powerful forward to compliment what we've got. Will maybe have to go abroad for that one.

Definitely in for Wilshire, was one of the few who wanted us to take a chance in the summer, but he now might be out of reach if he gets game time at Arsenal. Obiang seems to be getting back into form, Noble too, but we need some top quality in there to help us retain possession better, maybe offer proper money for Loftus-Cheek, who probably won't ever get a chance with Chelsea? Not sure if his loan can be cancelled, but it'd be a good sign of our intentions to sign players who can grow with the club.

Can't say I've seen this Liam Moore much, but the club have obviously been monitoring him, and I think he can cover CB and RB, which is a bonus.
